Ranking Things is run by a group of health and fitness enthusiasts and tech fanatics. Our goal is to inspire you to improve your diet and help you reach your goals. To do this, we write about diets (vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and many more), and fitness (weight lifting, cardio, HIIT)..

Hello there!

Welcome to Ranking Things โ€“ weโ€™re glad you decided to stop by.

If youโ€™re on this site, thereโ€™s a high chance youโ€™re looking to improve your health and/or diet. And the good news is that youโ€™re in precisely the right place! This site aims to provide the motivation you need to improve your health and fix your broken computer with products we find help online.

Itโ€™s a sad fact of the modern world that we have more health & fitness information available to us than ever beforeโ€ฆyetย obesity is rising,ย and exercise levels are falling.

Why is this happening, though?

There are a few reasons. In my opinion, the most important are:

  • Easy access to sugar-dense, high-calorie foods.ย In the past, humans rarely had access to foods that contained a lot of sugar. On the rare occasion when a humanย didย find some fruit, for example, it made sense to eat as much as possible to stock up on calories. This mechanism doesnโ€™t work in the modern world, though โ€“ and itโ€™s causing many of us to becomeย addicted to sugar.
  • Irresponsible food and drink companies. When was the last time you looked at the nutritional information of your bread or other staple foods? Take a look next time youโ€™re shopping โ€“ youโ€™ll be amazed at how much sugar is crammed into even supposedly โ€œhealthyโ€ foods. This makes it difficult to lose weight and get in shape even when you think youโ€™re eating well!
  • A hectic and stressful lifestyle. One of the most common reasons for not going to the gym is not having enough time. This is partly an excuse โ€“ there arenโ€™t many people whoย reallyย couldnโ€™t fit 5-6 hours of exercise per week into their schedule. But thereโ€™s some truth to it too. Many of us are working longer hours than ever. Throw in daily commutes, overtime, and other commitments, and itโ€™s no wonder most of us turn to junk food and TV to relax.

These problems arenโ€™t going to go away shortly. So whatโ€™s the answer?

The first step is to change your mindset.

With all thatโ€™s happening in our lives, itโ€™s easy to skip the gym or take the fast-food option instead of a healthy meal.

And I donโ€™t blame you โ€“ I used to be the sameโ€ฆ

But if youโ€™re going to change your body, you need to make changes. And thatโ€™s where Ranking Things is here to help.

The second step is to design an effective workout and diet plan.

The good news is there are PLENTY of excellent courses, products, and supplements that can dramatically speed up your fitness journey. They can help you pile on more muscle, strip away fat, or improve your health. Itโ€™s up to you to take action, but a top-quality course from an experienced mentor can make the difference between success and failure.

Unfortunately, for every fantastic fitness product, there are probably 10 scams! Many of these scam products look like the real dealโ€ฆbut are made by clever marketers rather than fitness experts.

Thatโ€™s why a primary goal of Ranking Things is to review supplements, weight loss products, fitness programs (such as our Yoga Burn review), diet plans, and anything else that claims to improve your fitness and health.

We do the hard work so that you can reap the rewards.

If we think a product is (to put it bluntly) crap, we probably wonโ€™t even feature it on the website. We want this to be a source of high-quality fitness products that can help make a real difference to your body โ€“ and we donโ€™t want to give scammers any promotion.

ABOUT MYLIE

Now hereโ€™s a bit about meโ€ฆ

My name is Mylie. I used to be โ€“ to put it bluntly โ€“ a complete slob. A typical evening after work would involve turning on the TV, eating a frozen pizza, and chilling out with a bowl of ice cream (or two). Weekends werenโ€™t any different. In fact, until a few years ago, Iโ€™d never even set foot in a gym!

One day I realized my lifestyle had to change. Aside from eating myself into an early grave, Iโ€™d also been researching the ethics of eating meat and decided to go vegan (Iโ€™m not a pushy vegan, though โ€“ more on that in a sec). I realized that would be the perfect opportunity to sort out my diet, fitness, and everything related to my health.

I also (finally) realized that the only person who could improve my healthโ€ฆwas me.

Sure, there might be products out there that speed up the process. And my friend’s encouragement helped too.

But the state of my body ultimately came down to the little decisions I made each day. Whether to exercise or stay on the sofa. Cook a healthy stir fry or a calorie-filled pizza. Stay up late watching TV or get a good nightโ€™s sleep.

That realization was the most critical part of my journey โ€“ and I hope itโ€™s the same for you too.

And thatโ€™s why Ranking Things was bornโ€ฆ

To provide you with the motivation and willpower to make the changes you need to improve your body and mind.

Before you start looking around the site, I want to make something clear. Iโ€™m not the type of vegan who thinks everyone should go vegan. Itโ€™s proven to be a healthy diet, but itโ€™s not the only one (plenty of people claim paleo diets, low-carb diets, or even hybrids such as the Half Day Diet are great for health). Thatโ€™s why we cover all nutrition and diet plans at Ranking Things โ€“ with and without meat, dairy, and eggs.

Also, since I started Rank This Thing (initially on a different domain), our team of writers has grown. We now have people with experience in various backgrounds, sports, and diets, bringing you the best information we can.

So whether youโ€™re a meat-loving weight lifter or a vegan runner, weโ€™ve got something for you!

WHY THE NAME โ€œRanking Things?โ€

Mylie, who has been a vegan for several years, runs Ranking Things. The name Ranking Things combines two of her favorite things โ€“ herbs and outdoor training โ€“ so it was a perfect choice!

Ultimately, weโ€™re here to help you make the right choices regarding fitness courses, supplements, and other health products. Youโ€™re the only one who can get yourself into shape โ€“ but if we can steer you towards programs and advice that will boost your results (rather than scammers just out for your money), weโ€™ve done our job.

Hopefully, you now know what Ranking Things is about โ€“ itโ€™s time to start exploring the site!

And remember: eat to live, live to workout (thatโ€™s our motto).

Mylie
